What are the different types of vape kits?

Disposable vapes

Also known as puff bars, these tend to be the most affordable way to start vaping. These have no buttons or screens & operate by just drawing on the mouthpiece and are usually prefilled with 2ml of e-liquid and producing approximately 600 puffs before they need to be disposed of appropriately. Separately, big puff bars or big vape bars, are similar to disposable vapes but contain more e-liquid and offer higher puff counts.

Starter vape kits

Powered by a built-in battery, starter vape kits tend to be refillable or operate using prefilled pods, and have advanced features compared to disposable vapes or big vape bars, such as adjustable power, higher power outputs, refillable with e-liquid of your choice, adjustable airflows and more, whilst maintaining ease of use. We recommend all vapers start here to get comfortable before moving onto other options.

Pod vape kits

These vape kits, also known as pod-style vape kits, are simple to use and use either a refillable or prefilled pod to house the devices coil and e-liquid. Refillable pod kits can be refilled with an e-liquid of your choice, meaning you have plenty of flavour and nicotine strength options available to you. Prefilled pod kits are limited to the pods available within that devices range, but require little to no maintenance to use.

Sub ohm vape kits

Also known as advanced vape kits, sub ohm vape kits produce masses amount of vapour by using large amounts of power, sometimes supplied by external batteries, to produce high amounts of heat. When used with high VG e-liquids, usually found in shortfills, they produce large amounts of vapour production. These types of vape kits are recommended to those who have been vaping for a while and want to upgrade their device.

How do I choose a vape kit?

Choosing a vape kit can be tricky, however here's a breakdown to make it easy to decide:

For new vapers making the switch to vaping

Prefilled pod kits are a good place to start as these devices use pods which are already prefilled with e-liquid, just insert the pod into the device, draw on the mouth piece and you're vaping.

Vapers looking to upgrade to a refillable vape kit

Any of our starter kits are a great step up to a refillable vape kit, some of these kits feature either replaceable pods or coils, so bear that in mind when picking your option.

Intermediate vapers looking to upgrade to a sub ohm kit

We offer a variety of different sub ohm vape kits, with the Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 Kit and VOOPOO Drag 3 TPP-X Kit standing out as some of our bestselling devices, which are powered by external batteries (sold separately).

When upgrading to a sub ohm vape kit it is worth remembering that these device suse a different type of e-liquid; they use high VG e-liquids. Using 50/50 VG/PG e-liquids with a sub ohm kit will result in leaking, so make sure you upgrade your e-liquid ranges at the same time as your kit.

What are included with vape kits?

Most vape kits come with a device, also known as a battery, a tank or pod which houses a coil and e-liquid, a coil, charging cable and user manual, but each kit is different:

Disposable vapes - these kits come with the device already prefilled and precharged & a user manual
Starter vape kits - for devices that use tanks they tend to include a device, a coil, charging cable and a user manual
Pod vape kits - these kits often include a device, an empty pod with a replaceable coil or a pod with a fixed coil, or a prefilled pod which cannot be refilled
Sub ohm vape kits - a device, tank, coil, usb charger and user manual. Some of these devices require external batteries, which are sold separately.

Are vape kits cheaper than disposable vapes?

As most vape kits can be refilled they tend to be more economical when compared to standard disposable vapes which usually have 2ml of e-liquid pre-filled inside, whereas refillable vape kits can be refilled with e-liquid multiple times before the pod or coil needs changing.

As you only need to replace either the pod or coil, which tend to be around £1.99 or higher, they work out somewhat more economical than standard disposable vapes.

How long does it take to receive your vape kit?
